In current situation of COVID-19 which has spread to Pakistan, Reko considers safety of its employees and customers on top priority. On 18th March, 2020, we launched an awareness program all over Pakistan and conducted a session on the symptoms of COVID -19 and precautionary measures to be taken. We also distributed Dettol soap bars for hygiene protection and TYNO lozenges to provide relief for sore throats. This CSR activity was highly appreciated by doctors & patients.

Reko Pharmcal has successfully launched a new product known as ‘Ruphen-C which contains Paracetamol and Codeine phosphate for effective and temporary relief of pain associated with fibromyalgia, headache, migraine, dental pain, period pain,backache, arthiritic and rheumatic pain. Hence it works as an analgesic as well as an antipyretic.  The launch ceremony was held at the Headoffice with much fervour on the 20^th  of  December 2019.

Reko Pharmacal celebrated World Pharmacist Day on 25th September to appreciate the role of pharmacists and this event was celebrated with an objective to create awareness about the role of a pharmacist in improving patient’s health with emphasis on proper compliance and safety in drug dosages.
All pharmacists participated in the event with a brief presentation of their role as pharmacist and its significance in the current era. After this segment cake cutting was done by the pharmacists and the CEO & Executive Directors of Reko Pharmacal appreciated their efforts & motivated the pharmacists,
A prize distribution ceremony was done and Mr. Naqqash (Injectable Pharmacist) was awarded first prize with the most commendable presentation.

A free blood sugar test camp was organized on 23^th Feb, 2019 at Ghaziabad Government Hospital, Lahore. Camp was organized in association with Reko Pharmacal (P.v.t) Ltd and Diabetic center of Ghaziabad government Hospital. Four team members of hospital including Head of the Department and (NSD) S.P Ahmed examined diabetic patients. We provided the facility of free blood sugar test of referred patients.

Approximately 50 patients came for check up. Doctors advised them medicines and our team provided patient awareness for Diabetes Type-2 during the camp. We also provided free medicine ”Sitavie” to the patients after advised by the doctors.

The camp was organized in association with Reko Pharmacal (P.v.t) Ltd and Department of Endocrinology of Mayo Hospital. Four team members of hospital including Head of the Department with 3 doctors examined diabetic patients. We provided the facility of free blood sugar test of referred patients.

Approximately 50 patients came for check up. Doctors advised them medicines and our team provided patient awareness for Diabetes Type-2 during the Camp.

A business 50^th Anniversary isn’t only a cause for celebration – it’s also an opportunity to strengthen relationships with staff, field force, and worker & win new customers. Reko team organized cake cutting ceremony on the 50^th Anniversary of Reko Pharmacal. In order to promote better work-life and to improve the motivation amongst the employees, our Events committee organized a wide range of activities on 19^th January, 2019. These activities include 12 different food stalls and jumping castle for kids. Workers performed skits and officers participated as well and performed their hidden talent .Reko team embellished its logo for its 50^th Anniversary and conveyed  it’s special message by inaugurating the new slogan on special walk. Company anniversaries are ideal opportunities to cement community relations and demonstrate goodwill through a philanthropic event. No company reaches a major milestone without a dedicated workforce. The 50^th Anniversary of Reko Pharmacal marked with the introduction of a Scholarship for workers, long services award, incentive program, appreciation for best seller, worker of the months, stall winner, lucky draw winner, officer of the year & new comer best performance award.

The feedback received was extremely positive as all the employees and our honorable guests thoroughly enjoyed this event.

Reko Pharmcal has successfully launched a new product known as ‘Sitavie’, which contains two oral antihyperglcemic drugs used in the management of type 2 diabetes i.e Sitagliptin (50mg) and Metformin HCI (500mg). This medicine is to be used in conjunction with proper diet and exercise in order to effectively manage diabetics. Reko aims to help control the ‘silent killer’ diabetes with the launch of this new product. The launch ceremony was held at the Headoffice with much fervour on the 23rd of November 2018.

A Diabetes camp was help in Akhtar Mubarik Medical Centre on World Diabetes Day on the 14^th of November 2018.  A detailed presentation on diabetes management was conducted. Free sugar testing and BMI was done for all those in attendance as well.  All participants greatly benefited from this session and significantly enhanced their knowledge on the subject of diabetes.

Functioning within the global environment, an organization is like a living organism. As it grows, providing products and services to society, it consumes various resources and energy and generates waste. In addition to making steady efforts to reduce waste and other environmental impacts, Reko Pharmacal has also been actively engaged in its own unique activities to preserve the environment.

In May 2018, our employees joined hands and developed a green belt on the factory premises and planted various seedlings themselves.
